Saturday, May 4, 2018 from 8-11AM – Town-wide Clean-up
Join The Friends of Burial Hill as we participate in the town-wide clean-up day, by cleaning up the hill. Wear gloves, and bring rakes and leaf blowers if you have them!
Friday, May 17, 2018 New Trainee Workshop – Pre-Registration is Required
Learn how to clean, preserve, and record gravestones! Free to members. Takes place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Plymouth. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Sunday, May 26, 2018 from 8AM-11AM – Placing of Flags on Veteran’s Graves AND Planting of Flowers for Graves With Years Ending in 19.
The Friends of Burial Hill will be placing flags on the graves of our veterans. Come help out if you can! We’ll start at 8am and anticipate finishing by 11am. We have these veterans on the hill:
- King Philip’s War – 1
- Revolutionary War – 79
- War of 1812 – 12
- Civil War – 50
Twenty-one deaths were memorialized with gravestones on Burial Hill for years ending in 19. We will plan annuals at these grave sites on May 26th. Please let us know if you would like to take part or contribute.
